If the water is near any electrical fittings, turn off your electricity at the mains too. Then, open your cold taps to drain the system and call us immediately.
Gas leaks are serious. Turn off the gas supply at the meter immediately. Open all windows and doors to ventilate the property. DO NOT turn any electrical switches on or off, don't smoke, and don't light matches. Call the National Gas Emergency Service, and then call us — our Gas Safe engineers are trained for exactly this scenario.
